W. Shannon Potter Lead Pastor
Shannon has been the Lead Pastor of EPC since July 2005. He is married to Jennifer and together they have three children. Shannon graduated from Eastern Pentecostal Bible College in 1988 with a Bachelor of Theology degree (Cultural Studies) and in 2016 he graduated from Tyndale University College & Seminary with a Masters of Theological Studies degree. Shannon is ordained with the Western Ontario District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. Shannon is passionate about living missionally, communicating the Word of God with grace and truth, building authentic relationships, mentoring, leadership development, cross cultural ministry, and seeing the church realize the full potential of Jesus’ call to make apprentices. In his free time Shannon enjoys up cycling and refinishing furniture, cooking, boating, and spending time with family.
Marc Gauvreau Associate Pastor
Marc joined our staff May 2015 after serving in a consultant role since September 2014. He is married to Karen and they have four boys: Ayden, Liam, Rylan and Landon. Marc graduated from EPBC in 1991. He completed his M.Div from Tyndale Seminary in Spring of 2010. He has also trained in Spiritual Direction at Tyndale Seminary and is presently working towards official certification as a spiritual director. He has been ordained with the PAOC since the spring of 1993 and also serves as adjunct faculty at Sanctus School for Worshippers and is an instructor and spiritual director with Emmaus Formation Centre. His area of passion is discipleship and spiritual formation and aspires to see Christ formed in the people of God (Gal.4:19; Col.1:28-29). Marc loves fishing, volleyball, softball and landscaping.
Jennifer Potter Assistant Pastor
Jennifer is married to Shannon and together they have three amazing children. Jennifer graduated from Eastern Pentecostal Bible College with a Diploma in Theology in 1988, and completed a Bachelor of Theology degree from Master’s College & Seminary in 2003. She is ordained with the Western Ontario District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. Jennifer’s primary role at EPC is Community Connections – bridging the church to the community and the community to the church. Jennifer is actively engaged in anti human trafficking efforts and is a founding member of 4:ONE – an anti human trafficking awareness group.
Kevin Cooper Student Pastor
Kevin has been on staff at EPC since 2013. Kevin graduated from Master’s College & Seminary in 2015. Kevin was introduced to Christ at around 13 years of age and became involved in the youth ministry at his local church. Kevin loves music, leading worship and youth ministry. Kevin is passionate about discipleship, has a heart for youth in the community, is committed to building significant relationships with students and their families, and desires to see youth realize their full leadership potential.
Danielle Cooper Children and Family Life Pastor
Danielle currently serves as the Family Ministries Pastor at EPC. She graduated from Master’s College & Seminary in 2015 and is married to Pastor Kevin. She has worked at various churches working with children and youth and is passionate about children/family ministry. Danielle wants to see kids build a firm understanding of who God is through the Bible, know Gods love for them, develop servant hearts and share the good news to others. She also runs the weekly Kids Night Out program for Gr 1-5 and is the Director of Little Oaks Day Camp in the Summer.
Cindy Joiner Office Administrator
Cindy has been on staff at EPC since 2005. Her responsibilities include: reception, accounting, record keeping, scheduling pastoral appointments, arranging weddings and baby dedications, and various other administrative office duties.
Cindy attended Beulah Heights Bible College in Atlanta,Georgia, Central Bible College, Springfield, Missouri, and Pro Linguis School, Thiaumont, Belgium.
Cindy served two years with MAPS( Mobilization and Placement Services) of the Assemblies of God working with Eurasia Teen Challenge.
